Holiday Calendar Goats/Sheep
B.S. Livestock, LLC

By using this calendar the goat & lamb producers can take advantage of these special markets.

The term "Halal" is the religious term used to describe food that is  "lawful to eat " according to the laws of Islam. The Muslem population consumes approximately 70% of the goat meat raised in the USA. Two of the most important days in the Islamic calendar are Nawlid, celebrated in honor of Mohammed's birthday and Ashore in remembrance of the Martyrdom of Mohammed's grandsons.

There are several other ethnic groups that enjoy goat and lamb. Marketing around these special holidays will help the grower/producer increase their profit margin.
